Three points from this news: 1. Macron's consultations on Iran: In contact with Trump and regional leaders, Macron emphasized the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and establishing a ceasefire as France's diplomatic priority. 2. Progress of negotiations and Trump's position: Tehran and Washington announced progress in the negotiations; however, Trump assessed the chances of a final agreement or a return to war as "50-50". 3. Possibility of announcing a peace agreement: The Washington Times claimed that the draft agreement has been approved and that the finalization of the peace agreement will probably be officially announced within the next 24 hours. [in reply to: Macron talks with Trump and Middle East leaders about Iran French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the deal with Iran with his American counterpart Donald Trump and leaders of the Persian Gulf countries on Saturday night. Agence France-Presse reported, citing a diplomatic source, that Macron discussed the war in the Middle East and the Strait of Hormuz in separate phone calls with the leaders of the United States, the Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, as negotiations between Iran and the United States intensify. Trump's statement now on negotiations with #Iran #Breaking I am in the Oval Office at the White House, where we just had a very good call with: President Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates, Emir Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, and Minister Ali Al Thawadi of Qatar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmad Shah of Pakistan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran and everything related to a memorandum of understanding concerning peace. An agreement has been largely negotiated and is subject to final drafting between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other countries mentioned. Separately, I spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, and he was also very good. The final aspects and details of the agreement are currently being discussed and will be announced soon. Along with many other elements of the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President Donald J. Trump.

What is this event about?
This market will resolve to "Yes" if a national government, its military, or a broad consensus of credible reporting confirms that the listed country's warships transited through the Strait of Hormuz between market creation and May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”.
A "warship transit" is defined as a military vessel passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Military cargo or support vessels will be considered “warships”; however, commercial or civilian vessels will not qualify.
For the purposes of this market, only transits through the Strait of Hormuz will be considered, defined as passage through the narrowest portion of the waterway between Iran and Oman. Operations solely in the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, or Arabian Sea without passage through this narrowest section will not qualify.
Official confirmation by a national government or its military that its vessels transited through the Strait of Hormuz during the specified timeframe will resolve this market immediately. An overwhelming consensus of credible reporting confirming that such a transit occurred during the specified timeframe will also suffice.
Qualifying confirmations include statements such as official announcements that a country has deployed naval vessels to transit or escort shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Confirmations referring only to naval presence in the broader region, including the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, or Arabian Sea, without confirmed transit through the Strait itself, as well as aerial operations, cyber operations, or actions by proxies or third parties, will not alone qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information by the respective national governments or their militaries; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting will also suffice.
