The United States has enough Venezuelan oil to last 500 years, Donald Trump said at the Republican National Convention. "65 billion barrels are ours. You know what that means? For life, 500 years," the American leader said. He called the agreement with Venezuela "possibly the biggest deal in US history." The agreement provides for the development of 17 strategic fields, investments of over $100 billion, and increased oil production with the participation of private companies. According to Acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez, the agreement will also bring the country over $200 billion in tax revenue. More IZ RU news in MAX

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Venezuelan interim President Delcy Rodriguez signed an oil deal in Caracas on Wednesday that gives the United States majority control of 65 billion barrels of Venezuela’s oil reserves. That’s about a fifth of Venezuela’s vast oil reserves. U.S. President Donald Trump has called the deal “the largest oil deal in the history of the world.” The deal gives the United States preferential access to 17 Venezuelan oil fields, some of which were previously owned by Russian and Chinese companies. Chevron Corp. also announced a separate $7 billion deal to develop two more fields in the Orinoco Belt. Chevron says the investment could more than double its production in Venezuela within five years. The U.S. Energy Secretary has projected that Venezuela’s oil output will reach more than two million barrels per day by the end of the decade, about double the level in January, when U.S. forces ousted Nicolas Maduro and installed Delcy Rodriguez. The deal has also faced criticism, with critics accusing Rodriguez of ceding sovereignty over Venezuela’s oil resources. The Venezuelan government says the deal will help the country tap its energy potential and attract investment. @VahidHeadline @VahidOnline

Venezuelan oil at a historical turning point; from the nationalization of the oil industry to the return of the United States The recent extensive oil agreement between the interim government of Venezuela headed by Delcy Rodriguez and the administration of Donald Trump cannot be considered simply an economic contract to increase oil production. In terms of the size of the reserves, the duration of implementation, the operational share of the American side and its political consequences, this agreement is a turning point in the history of the Venezuelan oil industry and perhaps the most important revision of the country's oil policy since the nationalization of the oil industry in 1976. #IRNA_World @IRNA_1313

Caracas and Washington have signed a 25-year energy agreement, Venezuelan Interim President Delcy Rodriguez announced. The document provides for the development of 17 strategic oil fields with the goal of increasing production to 1.5 million barrels per day. Approximately $19 from each barrel produced and sold under the deal will go directly to Venezuela. According to Rodriguez, the agreement could bring the Venezuelan budget about $209 billion in revenue at a base oil price of $65 per barrel. US President Donald Trump previously said that Washington had gained majority control over more than 65 billion barrels of proven Venezuelan oil reserves through a partnership with private business. Max | Telegram | Newsletter | iOS Application | Android [in reply to: The United States has gained control over 65 billion barrels of Venezuelan oil under an agreement with Caracas, Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social. The head of the White House called the deal historic, stating that it more than doubles US oil reserves, increases supply on the domestic market, and will significantly reduce gasoline prices for Americans in the long term. Trump expressed confidence that the agreement will strengthen bilateral relations and contribute to the prosperity of Venezuela, guiding the country to "tremendous successes." US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on social media X, emphasized that the agreement paves the way for Venezuela to private investment in the amount of about $100 billion. US President Donald Trump announced on Twitter that the United States has reached an agreement with Venezuela that he called "the largest oil deal in the history of the world." Trump said that under the agreement, and with the participation of the private sector, the United States will take control of the majority of more than 65 billion barrels of Venezuela's proven oil reserves at no cost to American taxpayers. He added that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Secretary of War Pete Hegsett, in collaboration with Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez, played a role in reaching the agreement.
