Rospotrebnadzor was one of the first in the world - in just four days - to develop and organize the production of test systems for PCR diagnostics of the disease. "The tests have been sent to the DRC, the Republic of the Congo, and Uganda, where Rospotrebnadzor specialists, together with local colleagues, confirmed their effectiveness in real-world conditions, directly at the outbreak site, including in comparative trials with tests from other countries," the agency noted. The Russian development has received high praise from local specialists for its ease of use and accuracy. Requests for the Bundibugyo virus detection test system have also come from other countries: they have already been sent to the DPRK and Turkmenistan, and a request has been received from Tajikistan. Rospotrebnadzor continues to train specialists in Uganda and participate in organizing anti-epidemic measures. The agency's team has trained more than 20 Ugandans in laboratory diagnostics and methods of working in the outbreak site. Video not loading? Watch in MAX]
