A day later, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham arrived in Kyiv on his first foreign trip since taking office, along with a number of other European officials. Burnham is scheduled to meet with Zelensky and announce an agreement under which Ukraine will begin producing indigenous versions of the British Storm Shadow cruise missile. The leaders will also discuss strengthening air defenses, producing long-range missiles and increasing economic pressure on Russia. At the same time, the European Commission announced a new €6.1 billion in aid for Ukraine to purchase missiles, ammunition and radars, a package that comes on top of the €16 billion in aid already approved.
