Holding elections in Ukraine is currently impossible due to the current legal ban and the lack of conditions for safe voting, according to Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine. "Any participant in the political process has the right to make statements, not just [former Defense Minister Mykhailo] Fedorov. But the obstacles to the election campaign have increased... it is impossible to guarantee the security of the elections. And the legal ban is still in force," he said in an interview with the Italian newspaper Repubblica, commenting on former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov's call to hold elections as soon as possible. Volodymyr Zelenskyy's five-year term as President of Ukraine expired on May 20, 2024. Elections were scheduled for March 31 of that year. According to Ukrainian law, they cannot be held during martial law. Moscow has repeatedly stated that it considers the issue of the Ukrainian government's legitimacy important when signing potential peace agreements. RBK Channel on "Max" RBK app for iOS and Android

What would make this resolve YES?
This market will resolve to "Yes" if national elections for the parliament and/or presidency of Ukraine are held between February 12, 2025, and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
This market is based on whether national elections are actually held in Ukraine within the specified dates. Merely scheduling an election will not be sufficient to resolve this market to "Yes".
If elections are officially scheduled for a date outside this market's timeframe, this market will immediately resolve to "No".
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the government of Ukraine, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
