Pipeline repairs could take weeks; Saudi Arabia fears disruption to oil supply.
Saudi Arabia's pipeline will not be operational for a month With the loss of the possibility of exporting oil through the East-West pipeline for a period of 3 to 5 weeks, Riyadh's tactical escape route from the Strait of Hormuz has been blocked. Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline will be out of service for at least three to five weeks following drone attacks on its pumping stations. The multi-week shutdown has blocked Riyadh's alternative crude oil export artery and severely restricted the country's energy transit. According to initial engineering assessments and statements from Saudi officials, the extent of the damage to technical equipment and pumping stations is such that the process of assessing, procuring parts, and safely rebuilding the infrastructure will take a long time, at least a month. dnws.ir/003cLe @defapress_world

A crucial Saudi oil pipeline hit in strikes will be mostly out of service for several weeks for repairs, officials say
Satellite images show serious damage to Saudi oil transfer station The closure of the 1,200-kilometer east-west pipeline due to a drone attack has reduced Saudi Arabia's oil reserves on the Red Sea coast to a minimum and put the global market on the verge of a 4% drop in oil supply. Saudi Arabia, one of the world's largest oil exporters, is on the verge of an unprecedented crisis. According to oil buyers and traders, if Saudi Arabia fails to reopen its strategic "east-west" pipeline to the Red Sea, which was severely damaged in a drone attack on Friday, its oil reserves for export will be completely exhausted within the next few days. This sudden exit from the oil market will result in the removal of about 4 million barrels of oil per day, equivalent to 4 percent of total global supply, and will exacerbate the shortage in international markets. dnws.ir/003cHL @defapress_world

Severe disruption to oil exports after Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline targeted Israeli media: Saudi Arabia's oil buyers and traders have warned that the country's oil reserves, which are intended for export, may run out within 5 to 7 days if the Red Sea pipeline is not resumed in the coming days. Continuing this situation could affect Saudi Arabia's oil exports and threaten to disrupt about 4 percent of global oil supply. FWD from Mehr International: How will the disruption to Saudi Arabia's oil pipeline affect global supply? Saudi Arabia's east-west pipeline, which was shut down on Friday after drone attacks, transported about 4 million barrels of oil a day to the Red Sea port of Yanbu and had helped Saudi Arabia weather the consequences of disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz and reduced exports from regional countries for the past six months. SAUDI PIPELINE OUTAGE THREATENS 4% OF GLOBAL OIL SUPPLY • • Saudi Arabia could lose up to 4 million barrels per day of exports — roughly 4% of global supply — if its critical East-West pipeline does not restart within days, Reuters reports. • • Saudi storage at Yanbu can sustain exports for only 5-7 days, according to sources. With repair estimates potentially stretching to 5-6 weeks, a prolonged outage risks deepening the global oil crunch and adding further pressure to inflation and bond yields.

How did this market resolve?

On September 11, 2026, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy announced that the East-West oil pipeline has been shut down. This market will resolve to “Yes” if the government of Saudi Arabia announces that the East-West oil pipeline is operational or no longer shut down between market creation and the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A qualifying announcement must express that the pipeline is presently operating; operation at partial or reduced capacity qualifies. Announcements that attribute such a claim to third parties, state that the pipeline will or may operate in the future, describe work underway to restore operation, or frame resumption as expected, planned, or conditional, will not qualify. Once a qualifying announcement is made, this market will resolve to “Yes,” regardless of any subsequent contradictory statements, or alternative information from other sources. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the government of Saudi Arabia.
