The training is conducted under the leadership of the Combined Combat Training Command (CAT-C), which coordinates multinational training at Polish training grounds. The instructor staff at this stage is provided by the Armed Forces of the French Republic (Armée française), in particular the French Land Forces (Armée de Terre). The training program covers a set of competencies critically needed on the modern battlefield: fire training with various types of weapons, combat operations in urban areas and clearing buildings, maneuvering armored vehicles and tactical vehicles, as well as training for commanders of tactical units. French instructors transfer combat experience and training standards to Ukrainian soldiers that meet NATO and European Union best practices. France's participation in EUMAM Ukraine is an integral part of the French Republic's strategic support for the defense of Ukraine and for European security. France is one of the leading contributors to the Mission and has consistently demonstrated its commitment to strengthening the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The EUMAM Ukraine mission was established by a decision of the Council of the European Union on 17 October 2022 and is the largest EU training mission in history. Poland is consistently strengthening its role as a key training center supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Under the leadership of the Combined Combat Training Command CAT-C within the framework of the European Union Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine - EUMAM Ukraine, Ukrainian military personnel continue intensive training, developing the competencies needed on the modern battlefield. Special emphasis is placed on operations in urban areas, where efficiency, accuracy of actions and building clearance skills determine the survival of the unit. Poland's developed military infrastructure and strategic commitment to the security of Europe's eastern flank make it an indispensable training ground for Ukrainian defenders. This market will resolve to "Yes" if active military personnel officially affiliated with any NATO or EU country enter Ukraine for combat-related military purposes directly pertaining to the ongoing conflict with Russia by December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
For military personnel to qualify toward a "Yes" resolution, they must be 1) officially acknowledged as active military by the NATO or EU entity or member state they are affiliated with; 2) be publicly acknowledged by NATO or an EU-affiliated entity to have entered Ukraine for a combat-related military purpose directly pertaining to the ongoing conflict with Russia.
For military personnel to qualify toward a "Yes" resolution they need be active duty and acknowledged as described above. Participation in a combat role is necessary for this market to resolve to "Yes" (e.g. military personnel providing training or intelligence support would not qualify toward a "Yes" resolution, however drone pilots or infantry directly attacking Russian troops, or soldiers targeting and downing missiles from Ukrainian soil would qualify toward a "Yes" resolution).
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from NATO, the EU, or member states of either entity, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
