Trump lost: American journalists won the media battle and "won" the right to work in the White House. CNN, MSNBC and Politico restored access and accreditation through the court, and for two weeks the president will not be able to ban anything from the media. District Judge Tim Kelly rejected the US administration's arguments that the ban was dictated by national security concerns, Reuters reports. "There is no factual support in the record for the defendants' contention that revoking plaintiffs' passes will actually protect national security or that national security will be jeopardized if the court orders their passes reinstated during the pendency of this case," Kelly said. The media war began on September 18. During this time, the press pool television channels refused to broadcast the president's events, so at the opening of the helipad, Trump could only be seen, but not heard - no microphone was brought to him. Journalists emphasized that "the president's decision was a blow to him." Subscribe to Zvezdanews

A court has ordered Trump to restore CNN, MS NOW, and Politico access to the White House, Reuters reports. The court ordered the immediate reinstatement of permanent passes for employees of the three newsrooms and barred the administration from enforcing the restrictions for 14 days. Kelly also rejected the government's argument that the decision was related to national security. "There is no factual evidence in the record that revoking the plaintiffs' permanent passes would actually protect national security," the judge said. He noted that Trump himself explained the decision by citing the "perceived untruthfulness and negativity" of the media outlets' publications. What is this event about?

On September 18, 2026, President Trump announced that CNN, MS NOW, and Politico were banned from the White House. This market will resolve to "Yes" if, between market creation and the specified date, 11:59 PM ET, the ban is lifted for at least one of CNN, MS NOW, or Politico. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The ban is lifted if: (i) the President, the White House, or an authorized White House official publicly announces that the ban is lifted or will not be enforced, (ii) the United States government officially rescinds, suspends, reverses, or withdraws the ban for one or more of the specified outlets; (iii) a court or other competent authority issues an order that rescinds the ban or bars its enforcement for one or more of the specified outlets. The following do not qualify: a statement that the ban may or might be lifted, or that access may be restored if certain conditions are met; discussions or negotiations about lifting the ban; third-party speculation or reporting about a potential lifting of the ban. Once the ban has been lifted, this market will resolve to "Yes" regardless of whether the ban is subsequently reimposed, a relevant order is later stayed or reversed, or access is again withdrawn. If, on September 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET, a consensus of credible reporting confirms that the ban has not been enforced prior to that time, this market will resolve to “Yes”. The primary resolution sources will be official information from the White House and the affected outlets, official court records in any related litigation, and a consensus of credible reporting.
