A trash can almost became a member of the British Parliament: Count Trashface came second in the Clacton by-election, losing to Reform UK leader Nigel Farage. Farage received more than 22,200 votes. Meanwhile, about 9,500 voters voted for the satirical candidate, according to the BBC. British comedian Jonathan David Harvey is behind the image of the Count with the Trash Can Face. For almost 10 years, he has appeared at public events wearing a suit with a trash can on his head and positions himself as an "intergalactic politician." A total of 34 candidates competed for the seat – a record number for a single election in British history. Among them were also representatives of the "Official Monstrous-Delirious Party of Half-Wits" and actor Laurence Fox.
