You do not die: either you remain in the field, or you are martyrs alive with your Lord, receiving sustenance. They said: You are finished and you will lose! But your struggle has become a legend of steadfastness that has amazed the world. Where did you come from? How did you prepare yourselves? What is your endless number? Can you tell us about the precious life force that you have acquired? You extended your rope to the sky, and your Lord gave you an inexhaustible supply. You are the South of purity and dignity, and the independent, sovereign Lebanon has its pillar in the South, and humanity is manifested in the liberation of the South. With you are the places of honor and support, how great are its people who nourish life with heads held high. And with you, the suburb of defiance, its light shines as a reservoir for resisting the occupiers and tyrants. And with you is Beirut, the flower of the free, and the symbol of freedom and pride. And with you is Mount Lebanon, rebellious against the outcasts of the world. And with you, the North stands as a beacon of unity and solidarity. You are the precious life, not the humiliated one; you are liberation, not surrender; you are sovereignty, not enslavement; you are independence, not subservience; you are the sons of the most exalted, the master of the martyrs of the nation, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah (may God be pleased with him), Sayyid al-Hashemi (may God be pleased with him), the martyrs, the wounded, and the prisoners. You are goodness, honor, light, and morality. You are the men of God, you shake the feet of the tyrants occupying the land, so they flee and are defeated. You are the offspring of noble and great people, who sacrificed the blood of their fathers and loved ones, and whose unparalleled resilience and sacrifices of displacement and loss of property are a testament to their resilience. A salute to our people, the crown of our heads, the embodiment of pride, patience, and victory. My loved ones, the light of my eyes and my heart. I thank God Almighty for honoring me to be with you and at your service. Let me tell you about our political situation as follows: We face the criminal and savage Israeli enemy, supported by the bloody American tyrant, and countries panting after their power, and defeated ones feeding on the crumbs of the wicked. A great multitude, a great force, and great savagery, facing a small group in number, equipment, and support, but supported by God the Greatest, and therefore we will be victorious, “How many a small group has overcome a large group by permission of God. And God is with the patient.” (Al-Baqarah 249). We are facing an Israeli-American aggression that seeks to subjugate our country, Lebanon, and make it part of Greater Israel. We will not submit, we will not surrender, and we will continue to defend Lebanon and its people, no matter how long it takes and no matter how great the sacrifices, which are less than the price of surrender. The enemy will be subdued sooner or later. We will not abandon the field; we will turn it into hell for Israel. We will respond to the aggression and violations, and we will not return to the pre-March 2nd status quo. The Iranian-American agreement, which includes a cessation of hostilities against Lebanon, is arguably the strongest card for ending the aggression. We thank Iran for its concern for Lebanon and its people, and we will thank any party that contributes to ending the aggression. The responsibility for negotiating to achieve Lebanon's sovereign goals remains with the Lebanese authorities. We are ready to cooperate with them to achieve the five points: Lebanese sovereignty through a cessation of Israeli aggression by sea, land, and air; the liberation of its land through the withdrawal of the Israeli enemy from our occupied territories and the deployment of the Lebanese army south of the Litani River; the release of prisoners; the return of people to all their villages and towns; and reconstruction. We call for the option of indirect negotiations where the cards of power are in the hands of the Lebanese negotiator, and for withdrawal from direct negotiations which constitute pure gains for Israel, and free concessions from the Lebanese authority. No one outside Lebanon has any say in the weapons, the resistance, or the organization of Lebanon's internal affairs. This is an internal Lebanese matter and not part of the negotiations with the enemy. After Lebanon achieves the five points, it will organize its internal situation with a national security strategy, benefiting from its strengths, including the resistance, as stated in the inaugural address of President Joseph Aoun: "My pledge is to call for a comprehensive defense policy as part of a national security strategy at the diplomatic, economic, and military levels, enabling the Lebanese state—I repeat, the Lebanese state—to end the Israeli occupation and repel its aggression against all Lebanese territory." All our resistance is aimed at stopping the aggression and thwarting its objectives. We confront it so that it despairs of prevailing over our rights through force, and we do not know when that will happen. We will not leave the field of confrontation until God Almighty grants us success, and we ask Him, the Exalted, that it be soon.
